Water Lily in a Drying Pond

Calvert cliffs SP, Calvert MD

The large beaver pond at Calvert cliffs SP is way below normal,
so the water lily blooms are actually 6" to a foot above the
water/mud layer which made for some interesting backgrounds.

Perfect bloom. Perfect capture. The BG is exceptional. The light on the bloom really helps to smooth the BG into a smooth contrasting bokeh!
