Duck, what duck I'm looking at a Turtle

Flag Ponds SP, Calvert, MD

Gadwall

I saw a head break the surface of the pond and thought it was a beaver,
when I focused on it, it was the largest turtle head I'd ever seen. I
was carefully following it in hopes of getting a better shot, until I noticed
I had this Gadwall in my viewfinder. He was as surprised as I was.

Awesome day at Flagponds today, 7 different kinds of duck, 2 warblers, a
nuthatch building a nest, GBH, Swans, Osprey and a couple of Bald Eagles.
more shots to follow hopefully.

Red X - but the thumb looks awesome. I don't know about you, but I'm getting awfully frustrated with Pbase lately.
