Sanderling and Snow

Flag Ponds NP, Calvert , MD

Who says the Chesapeake doesn't freeze? I went out today and got
several shots of the birds in and around the ice chunks that have
blown up on the beaches on the Chesapeake. This Sanderling was
one of my favorites.

I've been struggling to get a laptop back in functioning order, and
I'm still not quite there, so I'm behind in work, SD pictures and comments.
Hopefully tommorrow I'll be able to catch up some. I got some great shots
with Herb that need to see the light of day.

The lighting here is outstanding. Details in the whites, water haze gone (circ pol?) and foreground darker and not distracting. Excellent.
