15th - "Lost In Translation"

Cheltenham, Glos.

Sofia Coppola's 2003 film with Bill Murray and Scatlett Johansson: "a movie star with a sense of emptiness, and a neglected newly-wed meet up as strangers in Tokyo, Japan and form an unlikely bond"

I've never seen this film; a good friend lent me the DVD oh, about four years ago and it still sits forlornly on the shelf, unwatched

But the title is a good one. I have a penchant for spicy eastern food, and we're lucky here in Cheltenham to have at least two Asian/Chinese grocers just yards apart - I love browsing the aisles looking for something exotic to take home and cook, the only problem being that often the cans and bottles only have labels in the original language. This could pose a problem in terms of what's for tea that night, but I just stir-fry away in grand oblivion until I get something that looks nice :o). So, no Thai, Vietnamese or Indian dictionary needed thanks very much, I'll chance my arm and follow my nose....

Ha - that was a funny movie... I agree - these Asian market foods certainly confuse me too.

Good one for the title. We have two Asian supermarkets too. I love the sauces, dumplings, noodles... and all things spicy! I'm always experimenting. I'm lucky because my husband will eat anything, good... bad... or indifferent. :)

Maybe just as well! Plus maybe your liking for such things has resulted in the 'prescription' picture the other day!!! Clever work and narative

A mark of the true hunter-gatherer is the time proven trial and error method. Especially handy for this method is the so called "Guinea Pig". Unfortunately that always seems to be me, as Mrs. Aomxtli is much too wily to volunteer. :(

Spicy foods do not agree with me, but I do love my "Temple of Heaven Special Gunpowder China Green Tea".

holy basil batman...nothing beats sanctified pesto...you`d want to be perspicacious buying these exotic products..although pigeon brand rose petals do look intriguing...tasty work Doug...V
