29th - Water Mains

Hoover Dam, Arizona

Lake Mead shows its charactersitic bathtub ring - according to our guide, the lake is at 43% capacity at the mo, but the Hoover Dam (on which we are standing) is still holding back trillions of gallons of water

These are the two water inlets to hydro-electric plant on the Arizona side of the dam

Sadly, looks no better than last October - but what a feat of construction is the new bridge?

Interesting shot. We are never really aware of all of this infrastructure until something fails. Well done.

'eck - looks like they need some kettle de-scaling stuff in there :o) Cracking shot, sticking it in portrait for those two towers is just right.

It's been this way for a while now. I remember looking down on it from an overflight last summer and noticing the ring.
