Only black bear are shown here, photographed at distances of 50 to 100 yards or more, using the Canon 100-400mm lens with a 1.4X teleconverter - the equivalent of a 560 to 900mm lens. Unfortunately I didn't always have time to use either a monopod or a tripod, so some of these were shot at ISO 1600. The originals are extremely "noisy" and the final results are not very sharp.
