This was inside a tea house in Beijing. It’s really part of
a scam. Here’s how it works. A pretty woman comes up to
you on the street and asks “Are you American or European?”
She than says she’s an English student and asks if she can spend
a few minutes practicing her English with you.

If you say yes she says “There is a tea house right here if you
want a cup of tea.” You go in and they put you in a private
room with a bamboo matt. In truth, she is a prostitute or
someone who thinks you are naïve enough to pay $40 for a cup
of tea. I thanked her and walked out but not before asking
her to take this photo.
