I was in Myitkyina, Myanmar in Kachin Province during
the rainy season and at the height of military rule due
to an insurgency that was taking place in the northern
province where this photo was taken. Overall the trip
was not a pleasant one although I did stay in country
for a month. I was fined by a local police department
for taking pictures where it was not permitted. I
also have some pleasant memories of my time there.
