This National Treasure is now in a condition that makes the area in need of revitalization. The last series of high winds, storms, and idleness has, as we say down here "took all the goody away for a while". But all is not lost, bids are being given to rework the board walk back to the "glory days" of 1974 now that more funds are available at the Federal level. For the meantime this photographer suggests that the public stay out of this ares so repairs can begin in the near future. In the meantime only the very trained and capable woodsman or sportsperson should only enter the area if an emergency is in progress.

This wet land is once again, for the time being, a wild swamp with wildlife who seek total privacy from humans.
