Finally a week with no rain but plenty of sunshine. Farmers bringing in the soybeans and corn within the Refuge and leaving about 30% of each crop for the wildlife's Winter feed source. Varieties of ducks, pelicans, and other water fowl have started arriving. Within a week or so the Sandhill Cranes will begin their migration until the Refuge exceeds a Sandhill population of above 4,000. A good week indeed.
