Today and tomorrow the Refuge will participate in the 27th Annual Southern Wildlife Festival ( www.sowildfestart.com ), where painters and photographers display their works for the general public. Not only was their paintings and photography works, there was also a competition for decoy art including floatation realism judging.. The event was sponsored by Decatur/Morgan County Convention & Visitors Bureau (www.decaturcvb.org). Among the 35 artist exhibits were Larry Chandler ( larrychandlerart.com ), B&S Photography ( b_s_photography@charter.net ), Wildlife & Landscape Photography, Wildlife and Nature ( www.claythurston.com ), Foothills Craft Guild ( www.foothillscraftguild.org ), and Steve Burney (artist of the year) ( www.steveburney.com ).
