Today overcast and misty...but then again a ggod time for the Alabama Forestry folks and the Refuge Personnel to do a little Forest Fire Safety Refresher training. The topic while I was present was the use of the survival blanket cover incase they were surrounded by a fast moving wild fire. The normal cover is a silver heat retarding shell of a cover.....being quite expensive. So they practive with a green plastic one that is expendable for training purposes.

A good day for planning for a fire threat to this refuge or the forests of our State so these brave men and women can survive to protect our natural resources in the tomorrows.
