Today we had two events on site. In a joint effect with the Decature Police Department the Refuge has a morning of catfish fishing with the ACES's young boys and girls. ACES is a community operation, by the Decatur Police Department, for those young people to have Summer activities rather than hanging on the street corner. The second event was a day camp for the older boys and girls who are almost teenagers and who are interested in outdoor activities and learning the skills of a woodsperson.

The young Osprey is growing stronger (and larger) each day.....in a few weeks "Jerome" will be ready to learn from the parents on the skills of flying and fishing.
