A busy Saturday at the Refuge's Welcome Center. Misty, rainy, cloudy day but the activities go on schedule. The Boy Scouts as a Eagle Scout Projects raised the trail to the Observation Building and rocked the route so rain runoff will not flood the route to the Observation Building. {Next weekend the Scouts will replace the current bridge along the same trail.

The Girls 4H Club held an environmental meeting. And, we had the scheduled SOAR Program. Soar is an environmental teaching program out of Chattanooga, TN and holds programs at Rock City in the Summer. Their mission is to education the public about Raptors and the misconceptions about them.

The Refuge is now in transistion from waterfowl to migrating "gentle wings" and otther birds. A good time to bring the family. Hours for this Season Tueesday through Saturday 9AM to 4PM.....closed Sunday and Monday for maintenance.
