Reallly did not want to use this photograph of the last Raptor used in this educational program. BUT, hopefully it will serve as a strong message. When the Bald Eagle was brought out, the sight to it tugged strongly at my emotions since, if you surf my galleries, I had spent a lot of time documenting the birth, family characteristics, and life of healthy Bald Eagles. This magnificant creature has had to have a wing clipped off so as to survive and will not longer mate, fly, educate a young eagle or feel the wind as it finds a meal. The bird is an example of highest spirit of mankind to save our National Symbol and the lowest, darkest part of mankind to harm a creature who does no harm to man. But this bird maybe stirs the same emotions in our young so they will respect wild life that is not a food source.

But then again, I am not to sure if I was an Eagle or harmed in such a manner would I want to be alive and a captive without my freedom.....like I said a tug of emotions from anger, a tear for this creature, and the what if I held as an example.....funny how one can relate to this particular species.
