A large number of Sandhill Cranes have left the area on their annual trek to Summer areas. This lone immature Sandhill was huddling near a picked cornfield as if it had "missed the bus". Hopefully the remaining small numbers of these cranes will hook-up with this youngster. If not then it visit a bit longer unless a roving coyote is able to catch it.
