During the classroom talk and video, the young boys and girls learn 9 important points to survive when lost....the points are if lost:

1. Stay together, do not separate if with a friend or pet.
2. Stay in one place or area....Do Not Wander.
3. Find a cosy waiting place that is out of wind and rain but don't let it be a hiding place.
4. Keep warm and never take any clothes off since your skin needs to be covered.
5. Do not lie on bare ground, pile up leaves and branches to lie on to keep comfortable.
6. Put Out things that are bright and noticable to attract attention like paper & strips of cloth.
7. Look bigger for Searchers if you hear a helicopter by laying down and waving your arms.
8. Do not eat anything you are not sure of......getting sick will waste your energy level.
9. Stay away from rivers and lakes.....if you fallin body heat will be lost and your in wet clothes
