This photo and the next couple of photos document the effect of the drought on the WNR Visitor Center Observation pond. The water has evaporated from the far South end of the pond (where the brown shore line is seen) north until you can see the current edge of the pond in the later photographs. Normally this body is full of water awaiting the multitudes of water fowl and cranes who live in this area from late Fall to the Early Spring month of March.
