Once married Memmie moved out to a rural community, which took about a half a day by car or a goodly part of a day by wagon from town, to live and to the saw mill where Pop worked with his father. The child in the car is my mother. As you can tell country life with a baby was a little different than when she was being courted in our City. Needless to say, she was always another Southern Lady who would treat anyone coming into their country store with politeness and courtesty.
