H40.jpg

The local sheriff and dentist with a couple of friends out to do a little hunting for small game. Being able to handle a firearm and knowing exactly the weapons limitations meant that the rooster could live another day. Interesting that this men could harvest game from squirrels, rabbits, quail, deer, and waterfowl without the first woodland patterned cloth or an electric game caller. All they needs was a rifle/shotgun (zeroed in), a round or two, and their acquired skills taught by their parents when the men were boys. Interesting when compared to the a modern day's equipment required for a "city boy" to kill a pheasant or a white tail deer. Photos like this one sort of paint the picture that today's civilized hunters are not as educated in the basic skill of harvesting wild game since they need so much help from manufacturers who spin yarns about how educated the wild game is unless foiled by gagets. Most hunters from the city forget the KISS phrase that solves many problems in life. (KISS means Keep It Simple Stupid)
