Sherry Bess, Homer Animal Shelter director,
is on the far left. Sherry kept Nali at the shelter for a long, long time. We wound up taking Nali home to play with a pit bull puppy named Minnie Pearl who we were "babysitting." After Minnie Pearl got adopted, we realized what a wonderful dog Nali was and decided to adopt her.
I'm so glad Sherry saw how special Nali was and was able to keep her at the shelter all those weeks.
