An idyllic sweep of sand and aqua water behind which are some luxurious resorts and a quiet village of lovely homes. Various tall palms and tropical trees fringe the beach, lawns and walking path. We enjoyed a mid-morning cup of tea and cake and could have stayed there for hours but for our scheduled journey north to Port Douglas.
"Trinity Beach was once a World War II training ground, where troops practiced all aspects of amphibious warfare before heading into war zones north of Australia." - website. There was a graphic and interesting series of photos and documentary of this wartime activity, incredible now, on such a beautiful and peaceful beach.
