  In the American Wing, a cane chair caught my eyes. Furniture from Classical period always 
purports grandeur scale. Yet such a striking proportion usually does not fit into the modern 
homes. 
And here, the lightness of caning in color and weight brought a balance into the chair. Almost
immediately the chair looks splendid yet amiacable at the same time.
