The Pillars of Rome

Rome, Oregon that is!

They stand 100 feet high and measure about five miles long and two miles wide. These formations received their name because of their perceived similarity to Roman ruins by early settlers who used them as landmarks.

They are found near the Owyhee River in SE Oregon USA east of Jordan Valley.
