Visible gravesite for the child of Liberty and Zabel Timfret buried a few feet off the Oregon Trail sometime in the mid-1800s. He probably died of cholera. It is very unusual for an indentifiable grave to be left alongside the Oregon Trail. Liberty begged her husband Zabel to leave a marker but he refuse because he feared indiginous indians would defile it. That was a common fear and main reasons graves for those that perished along the way were hidden.
