Yes, the place _is_ called Hell's lake. The scenery is actually quite lovely, you just have to get through this path leading there first! (insert here: murky atmosphere, lightnings and a crack-a-boom sound)

I really, really like this image! I would like to see it with the horizonal root cropped out--but that's just me. A really awesome image!

I lke what you did with the sepia tone. Definitely adds to the atmosphere and yet does not look overly photoshopped to me....
