The hoses require quite a bit of force to get them onto the waterers and the connection joints, but I didn't realize just how much until it was too late. I read after the fact that the hoses are much more manageable if you dip them in hot water first. I also bought a nice pair of heavy leather work gloves, but too late for my poor witty thumb.
