1973 2.8 RSR

1 Prototype ( "RS2" ) and 8 Factory cars ( "R1" to "R8" ) were built in 1972-1973 with special components.

The Prototype ( "RS2" ) and the first 2 Factory cars ( "R1" & "R2" ) were built on 1972 bodyshell ( 2.5 ST basis )

The complete "Mary Stuart" tail was used by "R7" at the 24h du Mans 73' and by "1033" at the Tour Auto 73'

A little serie of 49 customer cars were built in 1973 with a 2806 cm3 engine, 300 ps at 8,000 rpm

First time that the name RSR was used for a 911.

Hi there, i'm writing a book about the mexican F1 driver Hector Rebaque, Looking on this page, it appears he race 5x 2.8 RSR : 0588, 0686, 0705, 0865, 1113 How many cars were Long Tail ?? Rebaque also race some 74' RSR ? KK
