Modifications by Gunnar racing : car complete dismantel and rebuilt using other components and a 3L SC engine modified to RSR specs, only the central body was kept for the 2.8L RSR construction.
All the components of the original R5 2.1 Turbo including the body sections were installed on a period central body that was sold to Freisigner Motorsport.

2012 François Perrodo purchased the 2.8 RSR
2013 François Perrodo purcharsed also the restoration project 2.1 Turbo from Freisinger Motorsport and the car was rebuilt by Crubilé Sport.
The 2.1 Turbo was raced several times by François Perrodo and S.Crubilé at Le Mans classic.
In 2023 the 2.1 Turbo was sold to the present owner.

RACING HISTORY :
R5 did 4 races in 1973 in a standard 2.L RSR form
Complete rebuilt at the end of 1973 in 2.1 TURBO version and raced in 1974
