We stopped at Orokonui Ecosanctuary outside Dunedin. Highly recommended! 307 hectares of habitat for many of New Zealand's endangered plants, birds and reptiles; plus an amazing video on Primeval New Zealand in the visitor center. Next time we'll plan a full day here.
