I returned to Dohuk, Iraq after one month holiday touring India. I was a little worried about returning as all the news from Iraq is always bad. However when I arrived back in Dohuk I discovered that the situation is still relatively good. There are problems and security is a constant issue as evidence by the multitude of checkpoints upon entering the city. Dohuk is only 60km from Mosul, which is suffering under constant violence. This is no way for a person to live and I cannot begin to understand the problems and fears that many of my friends must endure.

I hope that this gallery shows a lighter more pleasant side to life here in Kurdistan. The Kurdish people are amazing always quick with a smile and a kind word. They are the reason that I keep returning.
