The Amazon event took place in Santa Monica and they had a rather overwhelming number of Kindle announcements. Am adding shots of the Kindle Paperwhite intro. The photos are for the A Kindle World blog. These are a few photos (no editing was done on the first 20 shown earlier except for brightness/contrast) taken during moments that stood out for me. NO flash was used, so some are very high-ISO photos. I used the new Sony RX100 pocket camera most, including for the projection of the Kindle Fire HD image. Other shots were with the Canon SX10 IS. Later I'll add a few more for the atmosphere of the presentation (including the post-announcement demos and hands-on time). I also took video notes because the WiFi wasn't holding connections for some of us, although I noticed quite a few connections were via mifi rather than depending on the overcrowded hookup there.
