Canadian Flowers at Clair Tison

Clair Tison, Normandy

Clair Tison is a small hamlet between Caeen and Falaise. At Clair Tison is a small road bridge over the Laize river, which you could miss if you weren't paying attention. The Canadian Newfoundland regiment took the bridge on 13 August 1944 at heavy cost. The villagers still remember the Canadian sacrifice every year with this floral display of the Canadian flag.
