Fire...

...as seen as in our backyard. The fire is twnety miles away and burning away from us thnaks to on-shore winds.
The fire has burned 1,000 acres so far and only started about three hours before I took this photo.
We had temperatures at our house of 108°F / 42°C today. Some temperatures in our area were as high as 120°F / 49°C.
These are dangerous temperatures even without fires.

A dramatic shot of this scary fire. Hope you get some cooler weather and rain to aid the firefighters.

A fantastic capture of the smoke billowing across the sky, I hope the fire was contained and didn't come into your district. V

An unsettling sight from your backyard Walter, those temperature of up to 49deg are very high for even our part of the world.

A good shot of the smoke reaching your house from 20 miles away!! That is a lot of acres, I hope it slows down before more damage can be done, Walter.V

Holy cow, this is a terrifying photo, and your text doubly so. The fire is dreadful and the high temperatures are stultifying. Your shot captures all of this. V

fine capture fraught with alarm...thank goodness for the inflow winds, often the saviour of coastal communities..
