Burned Out

The Hulk of the 120 foot Fishing Factory Boat "Norton Sound".
The vessel caught fire last Friday morning. Despite several efforts could not be extinguished.
It was therefore decided to let the fire burn out which took about 40 hours.
You can see in this image the heat was so intense it collapsed the metal bridge.
The temperatures are thought to have reached 2,500F which is hot enough to melt steel.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was hurt.

One man's joy is another man's sorrow..
You got a wonderful picture, but how sad for the vessel. Fortunately no one was hurt...

Was it away from the dock while it burned? I bet this was very scary. I, too, am glad no one was hurt. Despite the cause of it's demise, it is an attractive image. I would love to be able to explore it for abstract images. ~BV~

This is quite an interesting shot, it just doesn't seem there would be that much to burn in this vessel, it must have been the fuel on board. V

Makes a riveting shot, but I thought at first it was an old discarded vessel, not one that has just recently been burned. V
