I like this portrait a lot, Walter, it's so natural. Maybe just a little crop at the top and at the left side? But I'm not so sure about it...

A really nice portrait, I think I agree with Peter about the dof, maybe just a bit too shallow to get both eyes in focus.
f1.8! says a lot for the quality of the lens
But lots of character in the image, looks like a hard working guy.

The chances are, I've read this completely wrong, but he to me, looks like a hard worker, and the chairs to the right of the frame... or these chairs are in fact there to see something to the right, which is is no longer looking at, while you take the portrait.

The super thin DOF, to me, leads to oof issues around the eyes, the right eye (in terms of the photo) looks slightly OOF, or maybe the left does. Doesn't look tack sharp. The lighting looked a bit tough, strong (sunlight?) to the right, and shadow, to the left. Not sure what you could have done here though. Comp wise, I can't help but think the eyes are to much in the centre of the frame. the aspect ratio suggests this is a crop?
