Did someone say there are no rules to the 'Photo a Day Club' other than post one photo per day to your Pbase gallery to share with others. Fair enough. Here's a big tip to all newcomers to the PAD brigade: Ensure that you have your camera with you at all times with fully charged batteries and memory card in place then you won't miss any photographic opportunity. LOL! I left the camera in the glove compartment and went into the dental surgery for my appointment where I had a good five minutes alone to photograph everything in sight including the hypodermic and more pulling and extracting tools than you could shake a stick at. A unique photographic opportunity missed? Having endured my treatment I drove back to work unaware dribble was dripping off my numb face and with the anaesthetic just wearing off I assembled my own extraction tools to remind me of what could have been my Photo of the Day! (My apologies to anyone reading this with an impending dental appointment)

What a fab story....and a salutory lesson for us all!

Well done for still getting a good pic.

Thanks for that Jeanne, perhaps tip number two is to type the comment prior to posting and then copy and paste immediately after the image is posted!

I saw this shot yesterday, most likely before your comment was posted. You may find that if you start at the TOP of the FAVORITES list, those are the MOST recent posts, and I tend to open my mouth sometimes before the "poster" has completed his/her comments. That said...

Now, knowing the story of your missed opportunity at the dentists this shot is HILARIOUS to me, whilst before it was merely well composed...LOL! Very nice, Ian!

Since starting this, I always have my camera with me, including visits to the dentist. Last month I had an appointment there and thought that I could get a shot for "indimidating" for my 26 Things 2 project in the treatment room. I was disappointed to find nothing lying around of that nature so I didn't have to ask my dentist for any unusual requests!
I like your picture, especially the isolated colour, signifying danger.
