Chenisamoyo is a refugee from Zimbabwe. She has AIDS. When she arrived in the shelter she was near death with a cell count of 98. Now her blood count is 208 - which still exposes her to a high risk of infection. She has several very bad patches of shingles which cause much pain.
Chenisamoyo’s husband has abandoned her. One person in the shelter told me that her daughters are HIV positive; another said that they are not. Chenisamoyo was adamant that people should hear her story.
