Norfolk Hotel

Opened on Christmas Day 1904. The city of Nairobi was built up around the hotel.The main meeting point is called the Lord Delamere Terrace, after Lord Delamere who frequented the place a 100 years ago. The aristocracy and Colonial governors used the place as the main social point for many years. The hotel was the target of a suicide bomber on New Years 1980, killing 13 people.
