Two of our 4 person group were coming into Malpensa airport in Milano this evening. I needed to meet them as the sole Italian speaker in the group, so we hoofed it over from Torino and spent the day in Milano.

The original plan was for us to return to Torino that evening, but they would have been tired after such a long flight, and there weren't a lot of backups if our train did not turn up. Rather than risk it we decided to get a hotel near the airport; the Hotel Villa Malpensa. And what a good idea it was. It's a beautiful set of buildings (with spacious bedrooms; a rarity for Italia) less than 1km away from the airport with its own shuttle bus.

Wait, wasn't that noisy? Not so much. The hotel is west of the runways, and the runways at Malpensa are 17L/35R, and 17R/35L. In other words, just a little off north/south. No aircraft fly over the hotel; they're way over that-a-way and you never hear them. Look out the window at the hotels well maintained gardens and you may well think that you're in the countryside.

It may not REALLY need a gallery of its own... but I want to give it one anyway.
