I injured a calf muscle on the soccer pitch a couple of weeks ago and haven't really returned to daily running or gym workouts.
However during the week that I took this shot, we had been having very pleasant spring mornings. Such mornings are excellent for a walk, so that's what I did. I started doing increasingly long walks, normally alongside the beaches near Bulli.
The day before this shot, I had walked the same stretch. When I got back to the car park I saw a glowing sea mist being lit by the rising sun, stretching across coast toward Sandon Point as we see here.
The problem? I did not have my camera and despite all the propaganda by phone companies, phone cameras are garbage at capturing subtle and beautiful lighting effects.
I resolved to take the camera the following day in case, by chance, the effect happened again.
Naturally, it didn't.
That said... This is not an unappealing coastal shot, in my view. Since I'm posting this the following week, and since we will have rain and clouds every day this week, it's nice to have a reminder of how good the weather CAN be at this time of year.
