10 days ago I announced Lucy The Jungle Cat's 19th birthday.

That evening I noticed a problem. Why was there no entry in my calendar?

Now I did say that nobody is actually sure of her birthdate, and that still holds. She was a rescue ("But I did not NEEDZ rescuing!"), so it was always approximate. When I looked up my Contacts list (which is what generates the calendar notifications) I saw that late last year I had stumbled across her Companion Animal Act registration form (which had been done by someone else) which listed her birthday as 10 October. I had therefore adjusted the date to that. Unfortunately I then forgot about the change.

So the good news is that in her previous photo she was still (probably) a sprightly 18. The bad news is that she has to make it an extra 10 days next year to hit 20.

In the meantime we see her here at her watering hole, possibly having picked up the sounds of antelopes which can be hunted for lunch. You can see that she had been doing her "laps" from the water droplets on her eyelashes and nose.

Incidentally, some people may remember me speaking about how "grabbity" sometimes tricks her into falling into the pool. Not today... but it happened on the 5th of October. Again, she made her own way out before dripping water all over the kitchen floor.
