We did get to see the entrance to both the upper and lower basilica is in image 2024, but I thought it was worth zooming in a little bit on the entrance way to the upper one and its rose window.

It has only taken me 6 years, but I am now kicking myself from the realisation that I could have climbed those stairs and obtained some quite spectacular shots from the area in front of the entrance. Not to mention the entrance itself, although that admittedly would have been better done with my f/1 .8 fisheye lens, which was many years into my future at that point.
