A couple of shots back I had an image of this guy who works at the tyre place across the road. (He may actually be the proprietor.) In that shot he seemed poised for action, and ready to deal with a potential incoming customer.
I guess that whatever he was looking at didn't turn into a customer, because here we see him a few minutes later doing some word puzzles in the newspaper. (There is no way on earth you will be able to tell that from the published photo, but trust me, it's clear in the full-sized image.)
As I said, I have mixed feelings about doing street photography but as with the previous shot what I like about this one is the level of focus and intensity. This is clearly a guy who isn't just drifting through life but throws himself into everything he does.
I don't think that this is a better shot than the previous one, but I think it does complement it rather well.
