In an earlier shot we saw a visually chaotic example of laundry (amongst other things hung out on Neapolitan balconies. On a smaller scale, however, it can be more visually tranquil. Here we have just a few clothes and other household items stretched out to dry.

I must confess, however, I have not the first idea what the grey thing on the left-hand side of the balcony (as we are looking at it) is. It looks like grey leaves attached to a wire framework, though at the resolution that this image will be published I doubt you’ll be able to make that out clearly. It may be some sort of privacy screen for the balcony since in the full resolution image I can see that it does seem to wrap all the way around. If so, it's an interesting idea.
