At this point we were coming up to the part of the Giudecca Canal where it merges with the Grand Canal at the Punta della Dogana.

These appear to be residential buildings, notwithstanding the spray of graffiti on the ground floor of the green building. The canal that runs under the bridge is the Rio de le Toresele which runs north for a few hundred metres, hangs a 90° right, then a 90° left, and empties into the Grand Canal. In other words, it cuts through this peninsula of the main island.

The walkway that runs along the canal is the Fondamenta Zattere Allo Spirito Santo.

I don't know that it want to live here forever, but for a few months I suspect would be an experience.
