As we scuttled over bridge after bridge, taking in very little because we had appointments! To! Make!, I grabbed a quick shot down each canal. In this case I grabbed 3; an HDR bracket going from +2 to -2 to try to preserve the range of tones I was seeing, for by this time the shadows were getting darker and the highlights were a little too dynamically bright.

I've therefore pieced them together to form this HDR composition which, I think, is a pretty fair representation of what I saw.
