By 2006 I had, courtesy of the legendary Deke McClelland, figured out how important it was to start shooting camera raw images rather than simple jpgs. Without the depth of detail embedded in the image there is no way I could have brought out the dramatic skies that I was seeing from Inspiration Point in Leura without losing the shadow details of the ground below.
