There are in fact a few young women down in that shadowed corner at the bottom right, but in this instance I think that the shadow has a stronger impact on the image than they would have. I've therefore elected not to brighten it up.

I also experimented with a B&W adjustment layer but decided that I liked the richness of both stone and sky too much.

Quaint as these places are they are in fact peoples' homes, and have been for probably hundreds of years. One can't help but think that there is a certain vibe to their lifestyle that is very different to those who live in post-war houses.
