Yes, I'm sure that anyone who has been following the gallery this far (if there is anyone) is glad we finally made it to Sondrio well. The lady in the pink top certainly seems to be in a cheerful mood, as does her friend in the black top behind.

The guy who is glowering at her backside, however, seems rather less cheerful about the situation.

We were starting to gain a bit of altitude by this point. Our starting point of Milano is approximately 120 m above sea level. Sondrio is just shy of 300. There is a stone in the wall just above the seat on the far left (not visible in this shot) which gives the elevation as being 298.96 m.
